ABOUT JUNYI
Hi! I’m Junyi, an undergraduate student with a passion for exploring culture, art, and music from fresh perspectives. I was born in Hainan, China, where the tropical landscape and vibrant local traditions shaped my curiosity about the stories woven into everyday life. My fascination with patterns—whether in music, textiles, or human connections—has been a constant thread guiding my journey.

I’m drawn to the intricate beauty of ethnic cultures and the way they express identity through art. There’s something magical about how a piece of brocade or a centuries-old melody can carry the weight of history and personal meaning. For me, creativity is about more than making something beautiful; it’s about using art to ask questions, spark curiosity, and keep heritage alive.

I also love wandering through new neighborhoods, sketching ideas, or simply listening—whether to a traditional folk tune or the rhythm of a bustling street. I’m endlessly inspired by how art and culture move through time, shaping and reshaping how we see the world.

This website is my window into that ongoing exploration. Thank you for visiting, and I hope we can connect over a shared love of stories, sounds, and the joy of discovery!
